A Trip to Africa

I am officially back to business and by the way, the work never stopped! It was quite an intense month. These are some of the highlights:

1. I took 15 plane rides within the space of a month.

2. Countries visited: Seychelles, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania, and Russia.

3. I had the yellow fever shot and carried a yellow card in my passport since many countries in Africa don’t let you in without it. I took malaria pills for 2 weeks.

4. I sold a townhouse in Campbell, I have a commercial warehouse pending, and I leased two rentals, one in San Francisco and the other in Belmont. Thanks to WiFi, cell phone service and SIM cards I was able to work even in the middle of Safari in Africa!

5. You can survive using just one carry on bag even if you are a woman! Less is more!

6. Africa and Safari were mind-shifting experiences. Nothing can be better than traveling!

Next, I want to visit Europe and I can only imagine seeing other parts of the world on my future adventures.

7. All my childhood in Russia I watched documentaries about African animals. I was truly astounded that the experience was identical to the exotic images from TV.

8. I took so many photos and I will be sharing them on social media for the next 6 months at least.

9. I did not imagine that the lodging would be in the middle of national parks. Some accommodations were quite rustic, like tents, however, some were quite elegant. Hearing a lion roaring in the middle of the night is quite terrifying, but mind-blowing at the same time!

10. My Africa trip was the most unusual and mind-altering experience for me. I call Africa the "Beginning" of everything on Earth. It was a privilege to experience these animals in their natural habitat. We truly were their guests. They have a choice to hide and if they did Safari tours would be much less remarkable. Shockingly, some people feel they have a right to kill these creatures for their own entertainment and joy!

If any of you get the chance to visit Africa you will not regret it!
